# Austin 6 MOT reliability: pass rate and common failures | RegFlags

The Austin 6 passed its MOT first time 77% of the time, but from only 13 MOT tests, so treat it as a rough guide. See pass rates by year, common failures and typical mileage.

- First-time MOT pass rate: 77%
- MOT tests analysed: 13 (DVSA anonymised MOT data, 2025)
- Most common failure area: Lights & electrics
- Licensed in Great Britain: 191 (2026 Q2)

These figures come from only 13 MOT tests. With so few cars, a single pass or fail changes the percentages a lot, so treat them as a rough guide rather than a true average.
