These terms apply when you use RegFlags (the "service"), operated by Steady Circuit. By using the service you agree to them.

What RegFlags is

RegFlags presents official MOT history, statistics about similar vehicles and an automatically written summary. It is information to help you make your own decisions. It is not a mechanical inspection, a valuation or a vehicle history check: we do not check outstanding finance, theft, insurance write-offs, keeper history or service history.

Accuracy

MOT data comes from the DVSA and can contain errors or omissions. Scores, flags, estimates (such as ULEZ compliance and projected mileage) and AI-written summaries are derived automatically and may be wrong. Always inspect a vehicle, or have it inspected, before you buy it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made using the service.

Fair use and plans

Free and paid plans include the daily and monthly allowances shown on the pricing page. Guest, Free and Driver plans are for personal use. Dealers, traders and other businesses should use the Trade plan. Automated scraping, reselling data or trying to get around limits is not allowed, and we may suspend accounts that do it.

Subscriptions

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. Accounts and billing are provided by Steady Circuit's account service using Stripe.

Data licence

Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will tell account holders about significant changes by email.
